Towards a public analysis database for LHC new physics searches using MadAnalysis 5
We present the implementation, in the MadAnalysis 5 framework, of several
ATLAS and CMS searches for supersymmetry in data recorded during the first run
of the LHC. We provide extensive details on the validation of our
implementations and propose to create a public analysis database within this
framework.Comment: 20 pages, 15 figures, 5 recast codes; version accepted by EPJC (Dec

Two-way multi-lane traffic model for pedestrians in corridors
We extend the Aw-Rascle macroscopic model of car traffic into a two-way
multi-lane model of pedestrian traffic. Within this model, we propose a
technique for the handling of the congestion constraint, i.e. the fact that the
pedestrian density cannot exceed a maximal density corresponding to contact
between pedestrians. In a first step, we propose a singularly perturbed
pressure relation which models the fact that the pedestrian velocity is
considerably reduced, if not blocked, at congestion. In a second step, we carry
over the singular limit into the model and show that abrupt transitions between
compressible flow (in the uncongested regions) to incompressible flow (in
congested regions) occur. We also investigate the hyperbolicity of the two-way
models and show that they can lose their hyperbolicity in some cases. We study
a diffusive correction of these models and discuss the characteristic time and
length scales of the instability
Loop-induced photon spectral lines from neutralino annihilation in the NMSSM
We have computed the loop-induced processes of neutralino annihilation into
two photons and, for the first time, into a photon and a Z boson in the
framework of the NMSSM. The photons produced from these radiative modes are
monochromatic and possess a clear "smoking gun" experimental signature. This
numerical analysis has been done with the help of the SloopS code, initially
developed for automatic one-loop calculation in the MSSM. We have computed the
rates for different benchmark points coming from SUGRA and GMSB soft SUSY
breaking scenarios and compared them with the MSSM. We comment on how this
signal can be enhanced, with respect to the MSSM, especially in the low mass
region of the neutralino. We also discuss the possibility of this observable to
constrain the NMSSM parameter space, taking into account the latest limits from
the FERMI collaboration on these two modes.Comment: 18 pages, 3 figures. Minor clarifications added in the text. Typing

Interplay between Fermi gamma-ray lines and collider searches
We explore the interplay between lines in the gamma-ray spectrum and LHC searches involving missing energy and photons. As an example, we consider a singlet Dirac
fermion dark matter with the mediator for Fermi gamma-ray line at 130 GeV. A new chiral or local U(1) symmetry makes weak-scale dark matter natural and provides the axion or
Z 0 gauge boson as the mediator connecting between dark matter and electroweak gauge bosons. In these models, the mediator particle can be produced in association with a
monophoton at colliders and it produces large missing energy through the decays into a DM pair or ZZ; Z with at least one Z decaying into a neutrino pair. We adopt the monophoton searches with large missing energy at the LHC and impose the bounds on the coupling and mass of the mediator field in the models. We show that the parameter space of the Z 0 mediation model is already strongly constrained by the LHC 8TeV data, whereas a certain region of the parameter space away from the resonance in axion-like mediator models are bounded. We foresee the monophoton bounds on the Z 0 and axion mediation models at the LHC 14 TeV
Les Houches 2015: Physics at TeV colliders - new physics working group report
We present the activities of the 'New Physics' working group for the 'Physics
at TeV Colliders' workshop (Les Houches, France, 1-19 June, 2015). Our report
includes new physics studies connected with the Higgs boson and its properties,
direct search strategies, reinterpretation of the LHC results in the building
of viable models and new computational tool developments. Important signatures
for searches for natural new physics at the LHC and new assessments of the
interplay between direct dark matter searches and the LHC are also considered.Comment: Proceedings of the New Physics Working Group of the 2015 Les Houches

Loop-induced dark matter direct detection signals from gamma-ray lines
Improved limits as well as tentative claims for dark matter annihilation into
gamma-ray lines have been presented recently. We study the direct detection
cross section induced from dark matter annihilation into two photons in a
model-independent fashion, assuming no additional couplings between dark matter
and nuclei. We find a striking non-standard recoil spectrum due to different
destructively interfering contributions to the dark matter nucleus scattering
cross section. While in the case of s-wave annihilation the current sensitivity
of direct detection experiments is insufficient to compete with indirect
detection searches, for p-wave annihilation the constraints from direct
searches are comparable. This will allow to test dark matter scenarios with
p-wave annihilation that predict a large di-photon annihilation cross section
in the next generation of experiments.Comment: 19 pages, 5 figures. v2: new XENON100 results included, references

Gravity-mediated (or composite) Dark Matter confronts astrophysical data
We consider the astrophysical bounds on a new form of dark matter, the so called Gravity-mediated Dark Matter. In this scenario, dark matter communicates with us through a mediator sector composed of gravitational resonances, namely a new scalar (radion) and a massive spin-two resonance (massive graviton). We consider specific models motivated by natural electroweak symmetry breaking or weak-scale dark matter in the context of models in warped extra-dimensions and their composite duals. The main Dark Matter annihilation mechanism is due to the interactions of KK gravitons to gauge bosons that propagate in bulk. We impose the bounds on monochromatic or continuum photons from Fermi-LAT and HESS. We also explore scenarios in which the Fermi gamma-ray line could be a manifestation of Gravity-mediated Dark Matter
